Job Description

P&G is seeking an experienced IT Vendor Relationship Senior Manager (IT VRM) to lead relationships with our high-risk, strategic IT vendors, operating from within the Corporate Information Technology team. This critical role acts as a bridge between IT vendors, internal IT leadership, business partners, and end users to ensure alignment on business needs and IT direction.

The IT VRM will manage vendor relationships end-to-end, ensuring that business requirements are clearly communicated and understood by our IT vendors. They will also facilitate issue resolution when misalignment occurs between business expectations and vendor delivery. Depending on engagement level, the IT VRM will oversee one or more key vendor relationships, driving value and successful outcomes for P&G.

Essential Responsibilities and Activities
  • Develop, formalize, and lead strategic relationships with high-risk IT vendors.
  • Collaborate with internal customers and vendors to identify and maintain relationships that align with business and operational objectives.
  • Monitor vendor performance, financials, and all aspects of vendor relationships to ensure objectives are met.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between strategic vendors and key internal stakeholders, including IT leadership and executive teams.
  • Ensure that business requirements are clearly communicated to vendors and that vendors fully understand these needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for issue escalation, dispute resolution, and arbitration between business units and vendors.
  • Manage and measure the overall health and performance of vendor relationships against defined goals.
  • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize business needs and translate those requirements effectively to vendors.
  • Collaborate with leadership on vendor and resource planning, including demand management.
  • Drive adoption of Vendor Management Office (VMO) services among leadership and ensure consistent best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex IT contracts and vendor relationships, particularly with managed service providers.
  • Proven ability to foster collaborative vendor relationships and create incentive structures that promote desired vendor behaviors.
  • Expertise in vendor governance to minimize value leakage, maximize innovation, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Deep understanding of IT vendor market trends, service delivery models, pricing strategies, and innovation capabilities.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and mediation skills with a track record of driving mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and translate needs into actionable solutions.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex data, identify issues, and make sound recommendations.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations professionally, providing excellent customer-facing support.
  • Team-oriented mindset with proven ability to build and sustain effective relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for collaboration, communication, and content creation.
