Job description

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain the Operational Technology (OT) Systems used in the company’s industrial environments 
  • Maintains plant automation systems, i.e., laser-guided vehicles, human-machine interfaces (HMI), historians, servers, remote access, and network devices. The OT Administrator participates in plant updates and upgrading projects as well as enhanced automation projects 
  • Administer and maintain OT systems, including Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and other OT platforms 
  • Maintain the network infrastructure standards specific to OT, including switches, routers, gateways, firewalls, and other networking components and defined security measures and standards for OT systems, assessing risks, identifying gaps and vulnerabilities 
  • Apply approved software updates and patches to OT systems and devices in coordination with plant operations team, vendors, manufacturers and OT Security team members 
  • Execute incident response procedures, including conducting tabletop exercises, testing backup and disaster recovery processes 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1 to 2 years of experience maintaining Operational Technology (OT) Systems in an industrial environment or High School Diploma/General Education Diploma and 3 to 5 plus years of experience maintaining Operational Technology Systems 

Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field  
  • Experience and/or training in manufacturing resiliency 
  • Certifications in Information Technology and/or OT related fields 
  • Experience with enhanced automation projects 
  • Experience with plant update/upgrade projects 
  • Experience with patch management and incident response procedures 
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure management 
  • Strong knowledge of OT security measures
