Job Description Mechanical Integrity (MI) Coordinator - Decatur, ILThis is a full-time, exempt-level position. Job Summary: The Mechanical Integrity Coordinator is responsible for leading, implementing, and sustaining the mechanical integrity of site assets to ensure operational safety and reliability. The Mechanical Integrity Coordinator will develop and define asset requirements and strategies and advance and sustain existing MI activities. This role works with the East Plant Soybean Operations team and reports to the Site Reliability Lead. Essential Job Functions:Direct and lead third-party contractors involved with Mechanical Integrity (MI) activities at the siteSupport the plant in sustaining and improving MI efforts and activitiesApprove/determine changes to Inspections, Tests or PM FrequenciesDirect, manage, and support site MI programsPartner with the plant maintenance team and RCM Practitioners to develop an action plan to identify and address deficiencies in assetsCoordinate access, isolation, cleaning, and preparation activities required for inspectionsMaintain equipment records within the IDMS and CMMSAssist in failure investigations and leak reviews involving fixed equipmentSupport budgeting and forecasting for inspection activities.Coordinate outage inspection scopes.Communicate MI program status and risks to Plant leadership.Work with SMEs to establish inspection/repair plans, identify relevant damage to mechanisms, select appropriate inspection tasks/NDE methods, and develop inspection/maintenance plans for all equipment.Contribute to design, specification, construction activities, and quality assurance of equipment.Review and approve inspection and testing procedures to ensure compliance with applicable API, ASME, NFPA, NBIC codes, etc.Ensure, API, ASME, NFPA, NBIC, and other applicable Standards and RAGAGEPs are incorporated into the MI program, particularly as it relates to Inspection and RepairInterpret Inspection Reports and ensure mandatory integrity items are planned and corrected.Review inspection, testing, and repair documentation and follow up on corrective actions as needed.Determine remaining life calculations and next inspection dates based on equipment condition and incorporate that information into the inspection scheduling plan for the site.Support and lead implementation of risk-based inspection programs.Assist in defining and implementing best practices for inspection and repair documentation, record storage, and tracking.Work with SMEs to provide guidance, direction, and leadership for reliability issues involving fixed equipment (piping, pressure vessels, exchangers, heaters, tanks, etc.).Develop procedures required for equipment inspections and tests.Support/lead MI compliance auditing efforts at plant sites.Ensure selected 3rd party inspectors and repairers have the necessary qualifications and certifications.Ensure PSM requirements for PSVs and Critical Safety Devices are met and updated.Minimum Job Requirements:A minimum of five (5) years of experience in welding, mechanical maintenance, and regulatory standards.A relevant technical degree, training, or certifications considered a plusThorough working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and RAGAGEPs (ASME Section VIII, API 510, 570, 653, NBIC, EPA: 40 CFR 68.73, and OSHA PSM: 29 CFR 1910.119(j).)Must be customer-focused and proactive in managing conflict, influencing others, listening, change management, prioritization & planning, utilizing a proactive approach to reliabilityExcellent communication and collaborative skills.Effective decision-making ability and problem-solving skills.Demonstratable organization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasksComputer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Products and Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS).Working Conditions:DustChemicals / IrritantsThe scope of the position requires exposure to and use of chemicals, solvents, and cleaners common to mechanical work that may be hazardous and/or cause injury if specific instructions regarding their mixture, use, and disposal/storage are not properly followedInside areas:Spring / Summer: Temperatures in some areas of the facility will be up to or exceed 100 degreesFall / Winter: Temperatures in the facility may be at or below freezingOutside areas:Spring / Summer: Outside temperature may be up to or exceed 100 degrees with potential for high humidity;
