Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Surveillance Operator I is accountable to protect casino assets via CCTV. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic understanding of games, manuals, policies, procedures, internal controls as well as state regulations pertaining to gaming within first 90 days of employment. 

  • Successful completion of Op I assessment within 180 days.

  • High School Diploma, or GED, preferred. 

  • Must be able to obtain a valid Missouri Gaming license

  • Must be 21 years of age.

  • Must have no other family members employed at the Isle of Capri Casino/Hotel Boonville.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive. Other reasonable duties may be assigned

  • Ensure the safety of employees and guests and protect the casinos assets via CCTV. 
  • Clandestinely observe guests and employees on casino property for criminal activity and/or violations of the state gaming commission regulations and the company policies and procedures. Report observations to company and state officials when appropriate.
  • Record surveillance activity in daily log.
  • Completes all company required training successfully. 
  • Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
  • Ability to refrain from fraternization with employees from other departments.

WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, computer keyboard and telephone as well as radio equipment.

  • Ability to work with and utilize digital recording equipment.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members.

  • Act in ways that will surprise and delight our guests.  Leave guests with positive feelings about our property and establish/maintain relationships with them. Approach each situation with a "yes we can" attitude, every guest every time.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time and work in a dark, windowless environment. 

  • Ability to use stairs required. 

  • Sitting 90%, walking 10%

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Casino environment exposed to bright lights, noise, changing temperatures and smoke. May include a boat and/or floating barge, hotel and atrium.
  • Ability to be at work on time as scheduled on a regular basis which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Comply with our drug & alcohol free workplace. Subject to post offer, for cause and post-accident drug tests.
