About the Role:

Join our team as a Facility & Grounds Officer and play a hands-on role in keeping our health facility safe, welcoming, and well maintained. This varied position offers the opportunity to use and develop skills across maintenance, groundskeeping, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and general repairs, making a real difference to the environment for staff, patients, and visitors every day.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria 

  • Relevant trade qualification or equivalent trade skills, with experience in building and grounds maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely use a wide range of power tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently, use initiative, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Sound knowledge of workplace safety, risk management, confidentiality, and compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

Desired Criteria 

  • Completion of Year 11, with a current First Aid Certificate and forklift licence (or willingness to obtain).
  • Demonstrated manual handling skills and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks safely.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare or similar operational environment.
