About Pavement Preservation Group

Pavement Preservation Group (PPG) brings together the expertise of Cactus Asphalt, Viking Construction, and American Pavement Preservation to deliver high-quality asphalt maintenance, preservation, and repair services.

We are committed to safety, quality, and providing lasting solutions for roads, parking lots, and other asphalt surfaces.

Compensation:

  • Full-time/Overtime and weekend
  • Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour - DOE

Job Duties:

The Yard Laborer is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized yard at the PPG Cactus Yard. This position involves general labor duties and outdoor work to support daily operations.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Picking up trash and debris throughout the yard
  • Emptying trash bins from the shop and fuel island
  • Operating equipment to sweep and clean the yard
  • Organizing equipment and materials to improve parking and storage efficiency
  • Assisting with cleaning around the shop and fabrication (fab) shop areas
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly outdoor work environment
  • Following all company safety policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to commute to the job location.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test at all times.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time.
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed. Previous outdoor work experience preferred.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and around dust, fumes, noise, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds frequently and up to 90 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
