Job Description

Luxury and tranquility in an authentic setting await our Guests at the Fairmont Spa. As a Massage Therapist, our Guests will enjoy the professional and personalized spa experience you offer. The expertise and attention to detail you provide during their treatment will turn moments into memories for our guests.

Hourly Rate:  $16.00

What you will be doing:

  • Perform massage while maintaining the clients comfort at all times
  • Perform 30, 45, 60, 90 and 120 minute massages as required
  • Ensure individualized guest service through acknowledging and responding to their needs and expectations
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic and neat work environment at all times, ensuring all equipment is in safe working order
  • Actively participate in other areas of the Spa Operation, such as body treatments, product knowledge and retail sales
  • Constantly maintain up-to-date knowledge of the personal services performed and any revisions in the skin care products or procedures used
  • Serve as catalyst to promote spa services to Guests and Colleagues
  • Maintain current professional licenses and certifications
  • Work with Lead Therapist in the formulation of plans for projects
  • Answer all questions related to menu items, services performed and products used
  • Assist guest regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
  • Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests
  • Focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Schedule:  Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Must be service oriented and capable of communicating effectively with persons involved in all levels of authority, both internally and externally.

Experience

  • One year previous experience as a Massage Therapist

Education

  • Graduate from an accredited school of massage

Licenses or Certificates (*required prior to start date)          

  • TB Clearance required*
  • State of Hawaii Massage Therapist License required*
  • CPR/First Aid required*

    All Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA).
