Security Analyst
Fort Lauderdale, FL - Onsite
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
10-12 months assignment
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Security Analyst to join its IT Department. This intermediate-level professional will play a key role in managing and enhancing the city's cybersecurity posture across multiple IT functional areas including data compliance, systems and network security, operations, and incident response.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage security protocols across enterprise IT systems.
  • Assist in creating and implementing security policies and procedures.
  • Investigate and remediate alerts from security tools.
  • Monitor and enforce security controls and compliance.
  • Conduct security risk analysis and prepare status reports.
  • Evaluate vendor products and solutions for security compliance.
  • Provide direct support to IT and business teams on security-related issues.
  • Educate staff on security policies and best practices.
  • Participate in IT projects to ensure security requirements are met.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Certification: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) required.
  • Proven 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity frameworks, data compliance, systems and network administration.
  • Hands-on experience in security operations and incident response.
  • Ability to work independently or lead small to large security projects.
