Irrigation Technician - Weston Landscape & Design
About the Role
Weston Landscape & Design is looking for a skilled and dependable Irrigation Technician to join our growing team. This role is essential to ensuring our clients' landscapes remain healthy, efficient, and beautifully maintained. You'll install, troubleshoot, and service irrigation systems while delivering the high-quality workmanship and professionalism our company is known for.
Compensation
  • $22-$34 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and technical skill
  • Opportunities for overtime and performance-based growth

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial irrigation systems
  • Diagnose issues such as leaks, electrical faults, pressure problems, and controller malfunctions
  • Program and adjust irrigation controllers for optimal water efficiency
  • Perform system start-ups in spring and winterization in fall
  • Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and irrigation layouts
  • Communicate clearly with clients about findings, recommendations, and service needs
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment safely
  • Collaborate with landscape crews and project managers to support ongoing projects

Qualifications
  • Previous irrigation or landscape maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of irrigation components (valves, controllers, piping, heads, wiring)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems independently
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Backflow certification or irrigation technician certification is a plus (not required)

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, digging, and working at ground level
  • Ability to work in trenches, uneven terrain, and outdoor environments for extended periods
  • Ability to operate hand tools, trenchers, and other landscape equipment
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
  • Must be able to safely use PPE as required
