Job: BIRM-Branch Irrigation Manager - Lawncare Recurring (Irrigation)
We are looking for someone who truly enjoys irrigation management and the green industry. As a Branch Irrigation Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing all irrigation-related services within a landscaping branch, ensuring high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair services for clients. This role oversees irrigation operations, supervises irrigation teams, supports customer relationships, and drives operational efficiency, safety, and profitability. The Branch Irrigation Manager partners closely with branch leadership, account management, and field operations to deliver reliable irrigation solutions while supporting business growth.
Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all irrigation operations for the branch, including installation, maintenance, repairs, inspections, and seasonal services.
  • Lead, train, and supervise irrigation supervisors, technicians, and crews to ensure quality workmanship, productivity, and safety.
  • Plan and schedule irrigation work to meet service timelines, seasonal demands, and customer expectations.
  • Ensure irrigation systems are installed and maintained according to design specifications, local codes, manufacturer standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor job performance, labor utilization, materials usage, and costs to support branch profitability goals.
  • Partner with account managers and branch leadership to support client site visits, resolve service issues, and identify upsell or enhancement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental and water conservation requirements.
  • Oversee inventory, tools, and equipment related to irrigation operations, including maintenance and repair coordination.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting related to irrigation services.
  • Assist with estimating and proposal development for irrigation projects and repairs as needed.
  • Performing other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in irrigation, landscape management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on irrigation experience, including installation, troubleshooting, and system repair.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a field-based or service operation.
  • Strong technical knowledge of irrigation systems, controllers, pumps, valves, wiring, and water management practices.
  • Ability to read irrigation plans, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to lead teams and interact with customers professionally.
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools, timekeeping systems, and basic business software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including seasonal peaks and on-call support as required.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Licensed Irrigation Contractor or Certified Irrigation Technician (or ability to obtain certification).
  • Experience working in a multi-branch or multi-location landscaping organization.
  • Familiarity with local water regulations, backflow prevention, and permitting requirements.
  • Experience managing budgets, job costing, and operational KPIs.
  • Ability to support sales efforts through technical input and client consultations.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and retain skilled irrigation teams.
