Job description

Landscape Irrigation Technician
Rotolo Consultants, Inc.
Irrigation Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining commercial irrigation systems to designated landscaped areas to maintain or improve the condition of the plant materials or turf.
  • Monitor targeted areas for potential and existing problems
  • Work independently or with others under little or no supervision
  • Maintain current, accurate records of products used, problems encountered, or other information essential to the job
  • Lift and carry items weighing in excuses of 50 lbs
  • Maintain and safely operate various equipment
  • Communicate well with others and follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Must have a willingness to work long hours and a varying schedule
  • Must be willing to work outdoors under varying environmental conditions
  • Installing systems and ensuring that they function efficiently
  • Repairing and maintaining valves, tracing electrical components, installing and initializing clocks and timers, locating existing zones and valves and performing pump repairs
  • Adhering to Company's safety policy and ensuring that the public will be safe while in contact with crews
  • Ensuring that customers are satisfied completely through effective communication, relationship building and regular site visits
  • Reporting results to Irrigation Manager

Qualifications:
  • High school degree or GED required
  • At least one year experience or a minimum of a two-year degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with commercial irrigation systems
  • Strong work ethic
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with customer service
  • Irrigation certification a plus
  • Knowledge of two-wire systems
  • Must have offense free valid driver license
