Position Summary:

A Fabricator will set up his/her production area by reading the sketches and designs to determine the configuration of the parts that are being made that day.  Modifying or creating programs as needed. Operating CNC machines such as saws, brakes, panel masters and/or angle masters and other machinery that punch, cut, shape, bend or plasma cut different kinds of metal.

Essential Responsibilities :

 

• Analyzes drawings, sketches and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           
• Computes angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures and outlines sequence of operations required to machine part.

• Revises program to eliminate instruction error or omissions.
