Cornhusker Irrigation is hiring Pivot Irrigation Service Technicians at all experience levels — from entry-level trainees to experienced senior technicians and licensed electricians who are looking to grow with us. If you’re mechanically inclined, enjoy working outdoors, and want to build a long-term career in agricultural irrigation, we want to talk to you.

Trainee - $18-$20 per hour

Responsibilities:

· Assist with pivot installation, repair, and maintenance

· Learn basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting

· Support senior technicians in the field

· Maintain tools, equipment, and job sites

Requirements:

· Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

· Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

· Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights

· Valid driver’s license

· Mechanical or agricultural experience is helpful but not required.

Junior Service Technician $24-$30 per hour

Responsibilities:

· Assist in pivot installs and service calls

· Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs

· Work independently on smaller tasks

· Support crew efficiency and safety

Requirements:

· Mechanical or electrical experience preferred

· 0–2 years pivot experience helpful but not required

· Ability to read basic diagrams or instructions

· Valid driver’s license

Senior Service Technician - $32-$40 per hour

Responsibilities:

· Lead pivot installations and service jobs

· Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues

· Train and mentor junior technicians

· 3+ years hands-on pivot irrigation experience

· Strong troubleshooting skills

· Electrical experience preferred

· Leadership experience a plus

· Valid driver’s license

Service Technician – Electrical / Electrician - $24-$45 per hour

Responsibilities:

· Install and troubleshoot pivot electrical systems

· Work with panels, motors, contactors, and controls

· Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams

· Pull permits (if licensed)

· Ensure all work meets safety and code standards

Requirements:

· Electrical apprenticeship, journeyman, or master license

· Industrial or agricultural electrical experience preferred

· Ability to pull an electrical permit in the state of Nebraska is strongly desired

· Ability to read and interpret schematics
