Position Description
We are seeking a skilled Iron Worker/Welder to join our team. This position is responsible for erecting, installing, welding, and securing structural steel components on job sites. The ideal candidate must be safety-focused, dependable, and able to travel as required for projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Erect, connect, bolt, and weld structural steel components.
  • Read and understand blueprints, drawings, and job specifications.
  • Perform welding duties in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and rigging equipment safely.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and staging materials on job sites.
  • Work from heights using ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and structural steel.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and job site requirements.
  • Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Work closely with foremen, crane operators, and other crew members.
  • Travel to job sites as required, including overnight stays when needed.

Position Requirements
  • Previous experience as an iron worker, welder, steel erector, or similar trade preferred.
  • Welding experience required; certifications preferred but not required unless specified by the project.
  • Ability to read blueprints and tape measures accurately.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials as required.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
  • Must be willing and able to travel for work.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Must follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more as needed.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work from elevated surfaces.
  • Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other weather conditions.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment for extended periods.
