Launching in May 2026, our brand new Antithesis restaurant lives within the historic Royal Gorge Mansion (formerly the Robison Mansion, built it in the 1880s). Located in the Royal Gorge Region, Colorado (Cañon City), situated north of Westcliffe and east of Salida, Antithesis and the Royal Gorge Mansion are perfectly positioned at the mouth of THE Royal Gorge canyon on a pristine historic 4-acre property enclosed by a stunning circa-1880 iron fence with upwards of 80 trees, an historic fountain surrounded by cozy firepits and beautifully maintained grounds.
Summary: We are seeking a highly efficient, graceful, and guest-focused Service Assistant to support our front-of-house team in delivering an impeccable dining experience. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring that dishes are delivered promptly, accurately, and with elegance. As a key bridge between the kitchen and dining room, you will help maintain the seamless rhythm of service and uphold the highest standards of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Food Delivery & Presentation
  • Deliver dishes to guests with precision and finesse, using correct table numbers, seat positions, and service etiquette.
  • Present each dish knowledgeably, announcing the name and key ingredients where required.
  • Ensure all plates are delivered with proper timing, temperature, and attention to detail.
  • Assist in clearing courses discreetly and efficiently in accordance with pacing.

Team Communication & Coordination
  • Work closely with servers, expeditors, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and synchronized service.
  • Communicate clearly about table statuses, guest needs, and any special instructions (e.g., allergies, modifications).
  • Confirm the accuracy of each dish before delivering and report any inconsistencies to the expo or management.

Dining Room Support
  • Maintain a clean and organized service area, side stations, and runner trays.
  • Assist with polishing silverware, glassware, and replenishing service supplies as needed.
  • Support the team in resetting tables promptly and with attention to fine dining standards.
  • Step in to assist with water service, bread service, and amuse-bouche presentation when needed.

Education/Minimum Requirements
• High school diploma
• Prior experience in a restaurant preferred
• 1+ year of experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
Knowledge
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to move quickly while maintaining poise.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable carrying multiple plates and navigating a busy dining room.
Preferred
• Familiarity with high-end cuisine, course structure, and service etiquette.
• Basic understanding of allergens, dietary restrictions, and kitchen terminology.
• Experience in wine and beverage service is a plus.
Working Conditions/Essential Job Functions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Jewelry should be limited and not detract from a professional appearance or interfere with job performance. The following guidelines have been established:
o Rings may be worn on no more than two (2) fingers per hand.
o Employees may wear a maximum of two (2) pairs of earrings on the ear lobe only, of a style not exceeding 1/2" in diameter or 1" in length.
