Job description

Who We Are
Weber Shandwick is more than a leading global PR agency - we're an engagement agency and we're working in and around the cutting edge of the new media landscape. We're storytellers, content creators, and we engage people IN the story. Our success is built on a deep commitment to client service and to our people. We embrace creativity and collaboration, and we engage stakeholders in new and creative ways to build brands and reputations.
About the Role
Weber Shandwick is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our Integrated Project Management team in Washington, D.C. In this role, you'll be the central force driving our most ambitious campaigns forward. Reporting to a Director or VP, you will partner with cross-disciplinary colleagues to deliver best-in-class work for a range of dynamic brands, ensuring that our creative and strategic vision is executed flawlessly, on time, and on budget.
This position will be based in our Washington, D.C. office on a hybrid schedule.
About You
You are a master of process and a natural-born organizer who thrives on bringing order to complexity. You move seamlessly between managing budgets, timelines, and resources, all while keeping multiple teams aligned and informed. You don't just manage tasks; you foresee risks, solve problems proactively, and take immense satisfaction in seeing a complex plan come together perfectly. A calm, confident communicator, you are the trusted partner that creative, strategy, and account teams rely on to turn ambitious ideas into tangible, impactful results.
What You'll Do
  • End-to-End Project Management: Lead the entire project lifecycle-from brief to delivery-for medium-to-large integrated campaigns, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with client objectives.
  • Scope and Resource Management: Develop and manage detailed project SOWs, staff plans, and resource allocations, proactively addressing scope creep and ensuring the right talent is on the job.
  • Financial Management: Own account financials, including SOW development, burn rate tracking, budget reconciliation, and providing regular, clear updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Timeline and Risk Mitigation: Create, maintain, and communicate accurate project timelines, escalating risks as needed and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Serve as the central point of contact, working with cross-functional teams (Creative, Strategy, Paid Media, Analytics, and Account Management) to deliver cohesive, best-in-class solutions.
  • Team Development: Mentor junior team members and interns, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth.

What You'll Bring
  • Basic Qualifications:
    • 4+ years of project management experience, preferably in an agency or integrated marketing environment.
    • Proven ability to lead medium-to-large scale integrated campaigns from start to finish, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams (creative, digital, PR, paid media, strategy).
    • Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience managing SOWs, burn reports, staffing plans, and resource allocation.
    • Proficiency with modern project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com, etc.).
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Marketing, Business).
  • Competencies:
    • Critical Thinking: Ability to ask probing questions to anticipate and address gaps before they become issues.
    • Collaboration: A talent for building strong, high-impact relationships across disciplines that deliver results.
    • Conflict Resolution: Sound judgment and savvy in navigating and resolving issues with a solutions-oriented mindset.
    • Business Acumen: A sharp understanding of how to accelerate work to meet both client and agency objectives.
    • Future-Forward: Curious and engaged in AI and new technologies as tools to enhance work and impact.

Salary Range: $75,000 USD - $90,000 USD
Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
Weber Shandwick is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. Weber Shandwick recruits qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender, age, ethnic or national origin, protected veteran status, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status or citizenship status.
