We currently have an opening for a 1st Shift Solder Assembler in our Clarksburg, MD Campus. Solder Assemblers will report to the Manager of Manufacturing. First shift hours are 5:00 am - 2:30 pm. 

Responsibilities

  • Follow printed work instructions.
  • Read schematics, wiring diagrams and building assembly drawing along with MWI.
  • Handle small precision tools, hardware, etc.
  • Properly sign in on correct PIDs, complete ESD testing, and follow all manufacturing guidelines and procedures.
  • Interpret IPC-A-620 standards, where applicable.
  • Keep team lead informed of assembly issues.
  • Maintain a neat appearance in their work area and follow FOD compliance.
  • Shall be accountable for quality, quantity, and inspection of all work performed.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required. - Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications - Fluent in English.
  • 2 - 4 years of equivalent experience.
  • Applicant must have familiarity with electronic assemblies, and surface mount assemblies.
  • Ability to solder on most products in the factory. 
  • Able to interpret IPC-A-610 standards for acceptability and customer specifications.
  • Computer Skills with proficiency in Microsoft 365; SuccessFactors experience a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Ability to comply with all Company guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace Company Core Values. 

The hourly pay range for this role is $22.58 - $28.87 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 3%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above.  TDSI considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
