Job Purpose
We are looking for a hands-on engineering manager responsible for providing leadership, directing the activities of the test engineers to ensure the correct operation of each of the vehicle ECUs and the integrated vehicle software.
Responsibilities (80s of the Position)
  • Lead and grow the team of software test engineers responsible for validating the vehicle software
  • Plan, Develop and execute test cases for vehicle software
  • Support testing across all vehicle areas
  • Support debugging of software issues at HIL bench and vehicle level.
  • Sign off features and functions before software is deployed to customer vehicles
  • Create Test to requirements coverage matrix for complete vehicle Software
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to make continuous improvements in vehicle software
  • Keep track and plan installation of test equipment and facilities

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Electrical/Electronic engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Hands on experiences in manual and automated testing of vehicle ECUs
  • Experience in modelling in Matlab/Simulink, GT-Suite.
  • Experience with HIL tools such as Dspace/NI/Tracetronic ECUTEST/Vector CANoe
  • Experience with low-level and high-level programming languages (C/C++ and Python)
  • Experience with major operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iOS)
  • Good understanding of vehicle software requirements and related use cases
  • Capable of carrying out wiring/debugging HIL issues
  • Experience working in Polarion and JIRA
  • Valid Driver's license required

Preferred Experience
  • Solid understanding of HIL Testing methodologies and tools
  • Understand advanced concepts relating to RS-232/422/485, PWM, UDP, GPIB, CAN, LIN.
  • Knowledge of UDS ISO14229, debugging of vehicle buses: CAN/CANFD/LIN/Ethernet
  • Experience in EV features such as Charging, HV battery, HVIL, Pre-charge, ISO15118, CCS, isolation, HV contactor sequence
  • Knowledge of Electric Vehicle architecture with detailed understanding of Powertrain, Battery, Chassis, Body, Charging, 12V systems, Infotainment and OTA.
  • Understanding of vehicle firmware
  • SW testing certifications
  • Prior management experience
  • OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience

Travel Requirements
  • Business travel up to 20% annually.
