Your Role: Associate Buyer

As an Associate Buyer, you will support the tactical execution of material requirements planning (MRP) and purchasing activities for the Winslow Site. In this role, you'll help ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply of materials by working closely with production schedulers, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and supporting site manufacturing requirements. You will serve as a key link between Supply Chain planning and tactical procurement execution.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for site purchasing activities, managing the purchase order life cycle from creation through delivery and invoice payment.

  • Execute MRP buying processes and perform core SAP tasks, including purchase order creation and release, monitoring delivery dates, and regular inventory level reviews.

  • Develop and implement safety stock strategies to mitigate supply disruptions while optimizing working capital.

  • Collaborate daily with production schedulers to align material deliveries with manufacturing priorities.

  • Support site functions, including Manufacturing, Capital, and Maintenance, with tactical purchasing needs and manage invoice discrepancies and vendor invoicing and payment issues.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain; or 5 years of equivalent experience in a cGMP manufacturing or regulated industry.

  • Required Experience: Strong understanding of MRP concepts, purchasing strategies, and Supply Chain operations in a manufacturing environment.

  • Top 2 skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to react quickly to scheduling changes, and strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Buying, or Site Procurement.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems, with SAP preferred.

  • Experience supporting tactical procurement activities in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with inventory management, safety stock strategies, and material availability planning.

  • Experience working in a cGMP or regulated industry.
