Smile Staten Island is seeking a motivated, skilled, and patient-focused Associate Dentist to join our growing dental practice in Staten Island.

We are looking for a dentist who is confident practicing independently, provides high-quality patient care, and is interested in building long-term relationships with patients. Our office provides comprehensive dental treatment in a modern, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

The Associate Dentist will be responsible for:

  • Comprehensive dental examinations and treatment planning
  • Restorative dentistry, including fillings, crowns, and bridges
  • Simple and surgical extractions
  • Root canal therapy
  • Removable prosthodontics, including partial and complete dentures
  • Emergency dental treatment
  • Diagnosis and management of common dental conditions
  • Reviewing and interpreting digital X-rays and CBCT imaging when appropriate
  • Clearly presenting treatment options to patients
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough clinical documentation
  • Working collaboratively with dental assistants, hygienists, front-desk staff, and other providers
  • Maintaining high standards of infection control, professionalism, and patient safety

Experience with implant dentistry, surgical procedures, Invisalign/clear aligners, cosmetic dentistry, or other advanced procedures is a plus but is not required.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
  • Current and unrestricted New York State Dental License
  • Current DEA registration, when applicable
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Professional liability/malpractice coverage
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with the dental team
  • Commitment to ethical, patient-centered dentistry
  • New graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply; experienced dentists are also encouraged
