Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for a wealth associate to join our team on a full-time permanent basis in our Montreal office. Working schedule has some flexibility. Reporting to the Senior Investment Advisor, the associate's role would be multifocal:

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive wealth plans to address client specific needs or concerns in the areas of financial, investment, retirement, risk management and estate planning;
    • Personalize each wealth plan to provide expert knowledge around challenges affecting emerging affluent clients, such as: holding companies, employee stock options, individual pension plans, retirement compensation agreements, charitable giving, etc.;
  • Deliver presentations to clients on specific topics related to fee-based investment solutions, estate planning solutions, and financial planning; and promoting plans to drive the business;
  • Trade and strategy execution;
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients in a team context, updating client information, client follow ups and related administrative tasks
  • Proactively looking for opportunities in the existing book of business
  • Researching investment ideas to present to the portfolio manager
  • Business development (optional depending on skill of candidate)

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Investment and insurance industry knowledge is an asset;
  • Experience in creating financial plans is an asset;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in team environments;
  • Bilingual (oral and written) in English and French is required.

Additional Optional Qualifications:

  • Completion of or willingness to complete LLQP (Life License Qualification Program) designation is an asset;
  • IQPF Certified Financial Planner designation or commitment to obtain certification would be beneficial;

Responsabilites :
  • Preparer des plans de gestion de patrimoine complets pour repondre aux besoins et preoccupations specifiques des clients dans les domaines des finances, des placements, de la retraite, de la gestion des risques et de la planification successorale;

  • Personnaliser chaque plan de patrimoine en fournissant une expertise sur les enjeux touchant les clients en voie d'enrichissement, tels que : societes de portefeuille, options d'achat d'actions d'employes, regimes de retraite individuels, ententes de remuneration de retraite, dons de charite, etc.;

  • Analyser les situations fiscales uniques des clients afin de proposer des strategies;

  • Offrir des presentations aux clients sur des sujets specifiques lies aux solutions de placement a honoraires, aux solutions de planification successorale et a la planification financiere; et promouvoir les plans pour soutenir la croissance de l'entreprise;

  • Executer des transactions;

  • Maintenir des relations continues avec les clients dans un contexte de travail d'equipe, mettre a jour les informations clients, effectuer les suivis requis et accomplir les taches administratives connexes.

  • Recherche proactive d'opportunites au sein du portefeuille clients existant
  • Recherche d'idees d'investissement a presenter au gestionnaire de portefeuille
  • Developpement commercial (optionnel, selon les competences du candidat)

Competences et qualifications :

  • Minimum de 3 ans d'experience pertinente dans l'industrie.

  • Connaissance du secteur des placements et de l'assurance, un atout.

  • Experience en creation de plans financiers, un atout.

  • Excellentes competences en communication orale et ecrite, avec de fortes aptitudes en presentation.

  • Capacite a travailler efficacement de facon autonome et au sein d'une equipe.

  • Bilinguisme (oral et ecrit) en francais et en anglais requis.

Qualifications additionnelles optionnelles :
