Job Description
AZZ Inc. is seeking a strategic, highly communicative Director of Investor Relations to lead the company's engagement with the financial community and support transparent, timely, and compelling communication of our performance and long-term value. In this role, you'll serve as a key liaison between AZZ Inc. and investors, analysts, and other external stakeholders, helping shape the company's market narrative and ensuring alignment between our business strategy and external perceptions.
The Investor Relations Director will collaborate closely with senior leadership, finance, communications, and operations teams to develop investor materials, monitor market activity, prepare executive briefings, and manage quarterly earnings processes. This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance, storytelling, and relationship-building-and who is energized by translating complex business information into clear, actionable insights for the investment community.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Cultivate strong relationships with investors, sell-side analysts, and financial stakeholders effectively communicating the company's history, market position, and forward-looking strategy to enhance market perception of the company.
  • Partner with CMO/Investor Relations and CFO to develop and execute comprehensive investor relations strategy that enhances relationships with current and potential shareholders, driving long-term shareholder value.
  • Author and refine high-impact press releases and earnings call scripts that articulate complex financial data and strategic initiatives, ensuring clarity and transparency for stakeholders while aligning messaging with corporate objectives.
  • Successfully organize and execute investor conferences, analysts' roadshows, and presentations that showcase the company's performance and strategic direction, leading to increased participation and heightened investor interest.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of the stockholder base and implement targeted outreach strategies, leveraging insights from NYSE and sell-side analysts to identify potential investors and enhance shareholder composition.
  • Establish key performance indicators for investor relations activities, regularly analyzing and reporting on effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with SEC regulations and best practices in investor communications, fostering trust and integrity in all investor interactions.

Qualifications
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in IR, corporate communications, or publicly traded entities.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Strong financial literacy with the capability to explain financial results and strategic plans to internal/external audiences.

Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
