Location: Main Branch
Job Type: Full-Time (On-Site)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Join our dynamic Wealth Management Team in Nashville, TN
The Wealth Manager Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the VP of Wealth Management by ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and productivity of the Wealth Management team. This position also serves TENCU members by supporting investment programs and related financial services with a strong focus on service excellence, compliance, and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do: With a dedication to a member centric approach
  • Promote and integrate the credit union's philosophy, values, and investment program consistently into daily work activities and member interactions.
  • Support the VP of Wealth Management (Financial Advisor) in a collaborative team environment by assisting with:
    • Beneficiary changes
    • Contributions and distributions
    • Online account setup
    • Roth conversions and Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs)
    • Trades, statement consolidation, appointment scheduling, and general account maintenance
  • Identify opportunities to recommend products and services that enhance members' financial well-being.
  • Assist with member and account requests.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for member calls, addressing investment and insurance questions and service needs on behalf of the Financial Advisor.
  • Process investment and insurance paperwork through ClientWorks, including:
    • Running product illustrations for brokerage, annuity, and life insurance products
    • Following new accounts and business submissions through underwriting to completion
  • Review all documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to submission; follow up with members, representatives, or home offices to minimize Not-In-Good-Order (NIGO) submissions.
  • Follow team service standards and ensure timely follow-up with members and the Financial Advisor upon completion of transactions.
  • Prepare materials for member reviews and meetings by gathering performance reports from data aggregators, managed account platforms, and product providers; assist with fund performance research as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in Salesforce and communicate relevant updates to the Financial Advisor.
  • Ensure compliance with trade, new business, and advertising regulations at all times.
  • Assist members with share certificates, IRAs, money market accounts, and other savings products.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with training new employees and cross-training Accounting Department staff to ensure adequate backup coverage.
  • Provide accounting and operational support and information to management and other departments as requested.
  • Assist in researching and resolving general ledger outages or discrepancies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of investment or financial services experience required, preferably within a credit union or financial institution
  • Working knowledge of financial institution products, services, and records
  • Knowledge of brokerage and insurance products, including suitability and compliance considerations

  • Understanding of banking, finance, money management, and cash flow concepts
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects accurately and efficiently

Education and Experience

  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam preferred

Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit for extended periods; stand and walk as needed
  • Frequent use of hands for typing and handling documents
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of items up to 25 pounds (assistance required for heavier items)
