Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager, SME, to join our innovative and fast-growing team. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse, mission-focused group of professionals dedicated to delivering excellence across complex technical programs.

The Program Manager will provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight for programs leveraging the BMC3I Elite contract. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership ability to ensure the successful delivery of enterprise service management solutions. This individual will guide cross-functional teams, manage project and vendor performance, and drive continuous improvement aligned with organizational goals and customer mission requirements.

This role requires a deep understanding of BMC3I capabilities, exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Program Manager, SME will:

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of BMC3I Elite support initiatives and enhancements
  • Develop and manage program roadmaps, schedules, budgets, risks, and performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with governance, security, and quality standards
  • Serve as the primary liaison between program leadership, technical teams, vendors, Government Contracting Officers, and end users
  • Translate business requirements into actionable program deliverables and solutions
  • Oversee configuration, integration, and optimization of support associated with BMC3I capabilities
  • Support automation, workflow improvements, and digital transformation efforts
  • Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance, and issue/risk mitigation processes
  • Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and high performance
  • Deliver executive-level briefings, updates, and decision-support materials
Requirements

Skills & Experience

The Program Manager, SME must have:

  • Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance
  • 10+ years of experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Space Force (USSF), U.S. Air Force, or other federal civil engineering, facilities management, military construction, or infrastructure planning programs
  • Extensive knowledge of Air Force or Space Force Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) processes, facility management, real property administration, and installation support functions
  • Experience developing, reviewing, or supporting Military Construction (MILCON) documentation, including DD Form 1391 project programming packages
  • Strong understanding of facility planning, infrastructure investment planning, space utilization, installation master planning, and real property management
  • Experience coordinating with government organizations, installation leadership, engineers, architects, contractors, and program management offices
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH) requirements related to facility construction, modification, and infrastructure projects
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Direct experience supporting the Eastern Range, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), Patrick Space Force Base (PSFB), launch infrastructure, or other mission-critical space facilities
  • Experience supporting Space Systems Command (SSC), U.S. Space Force acquisition programs, or other DoD space acquisition organizations
  • Experience supporting Facilities Sustainment, Restoration, and Modernization (FSRM), installation development planning, or facility investment planning
  • Familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), DoD facility planning guidance, and Air Force/Space Force Civil Engineer policies and procedures

Education & Certifications

The Program Manager, SME must meet the following:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification

Preferred

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MIS, MPM, or related)
  • DAWIA Program Management Level III
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)

Security Clearance
