Job description

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered

Overall Purpose

This role exists to create a dedicated advanced analytics capability that helps the business understand individual offer performance, overall offer efficiency, customer quality, profitability, spend efficiency, and forecast accuracy. The role will analyze data from diverse internal and external sources using advanced analytics, statistical methods, trend analysis, and business modeling to explain what is driving growth, cost, investment performance, and customer outcomes. It will also independently identify where performance is changing, where efficiency is breaking down, and what actions should be taken, while partnering with other analytics teams to ensure measurement and reporting answer the right leadership questions and support offer strategy, forecasting, OEM negotiations, budget management, and long-term profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, validate, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources, including enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms, to evaluate individual offer performance and determine what is working, what is underperforming, why trends are occurring, and what actions should be considered.
  • Evaluate overall offer efficiency across the broader offer portfolio, including spend, growth, cost drivers, profitability, investment levels, incremental value, and customer quality.
  • Dig into drivers of volume, gross adds, upgrades, retention, ARPU, device mix, channel mix, rate plan mix, customer cohorts, offer structures, eligibility, and promotional performance.
  • Develop insights and recommendations that inform offer design, gating, targeting, pricing, promotional strategy, budget allocation, and investment decisions.
  • Apply statistical analysis, predictive modeling, trend analysis, scenario modeling, and business case development to support forecasting, budget planning, OEM negotiations, and investment decisions by quantifying expected and actual business impact across offer strategies.
  • Build test-and-learn frameworks and recurring efficiency reviews to identify opportunities to improve performance, reduce inefficient spend, and redirect investment toward higher-value growth.
  • Partner with Offer Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, leadership, and other analytics teams to pressure-test assumptions, align measurement, and translate findings into business actions.
  • Maintain the executive reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and performance readouts needed to provide clear visibility into offer performance, spend efficiency, and investment effectiveness.
Job Contribution

An experienced professional recognized as an expert in advanced analytics, offer performance measurement, statistical analysis, business modeling, and insight generation. Creatively resolves complex analytical issues with broad and in-depth knowledge of data sources, analytic methods, offer economics, customer behavior, and financial performance. Leads significant analytics workstreams with strategic autonomy, develops repeatable measurement frameworks, and influences decisions across Offer Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, OEM negotiation support, and leadership stakeholders. Frequently collaborates with senior leadership and business partners to translate complex analysis into recommended actions that improve spend efficiency, customer quality, ARPU sustainability, retention, and long-term profitability.

Differentiator

Performs very complex advanced analytics work, builds complex business models, applies statistical and predictive analysis, creates new ways to evaluate offer performance, and makes recommendations that impact multiple organizations and lines of business. Differentiates from standard reporting by proactively identifying performance drivers, customer quality indicators, profitability trends, and recommended business actions that influence offer design, gating, targeting, forecasting, budget allocation, and investment decisions.

Requires an independent, curious analyst who can determine where to dig next, challenge assumptions, and surface opportunities without waiting for direction on every analysis.

Education / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired from an accredited university in a quantitative field of study such as Data Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of related experience in advanced analytics, business analysis, data science, forecasting, financial analysis, marketing analytics, or related fields.
