Job description

Who You'll Work With:

The Senior Associate, Transaction Management will be responsible for the diligence review and closing of both flow and bulk residential loan acquisitions for AB CarVal Loan Portfolios. This individual will work closely with a wide variety of parties both within AB CarVal and externally.

This position will report to the Director, Investment Operations. The role will be located in Minnesota.

What You'll Do:

Transaction Management - 70%

  • Responsible for loan re-underwriting, analysis, presentation and submission process for settlement

  • Collaborate with the AB CarVal Loan Portfolios commercial team and external partners

  • Ensure compliance with closing schedules and document submissions

  • Assist with maintenance of office pipeline reports

  • Assist in managing the timely receipt and delivery of all third-party reports and documents

  • Provide day-to-day operational input on residential loan transactions

  • Quickly evaluate complex situations that arise and use good judgement to propose solutions

Business Partnering - 30%

  • Make judgement-based decisions related to the operations function and assume responsibility for the impact to the business

  • Understand key areas of the residential loan investment transactions/business and anticipate potential issues; proactively communicate solutions to others within the team or management

What We're Looking For:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate or Finance, or equivalent education and related training

  • 5+ years of direct transaction management experience

  • Excellent organizational skills and drive to succeed

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

  • Maturity and self-confidence to simultaneously handle a variety of assignments

  • Ability to work harmoniously with internal/external workers/customers

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Prior history of working in a high-volume loan production office

In accordance with applicable law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows:

Base Salary Range: $110,000 to $155,000

Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB CarVal, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards.
