We are seeking an Analyst to join the Investment Operations (IO) team. Our team manages the implementation of PIMCO’s new instruments and markets for all products, as well as managing our outsourced middle office service provider and our custodial oversight program. The team also oversees emerging markets, and investment operations. This role is part of an operational, strategic initiative and is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals to differentiate themselves. In this role, you will be part of a team that partners with Portfolio Managers in delivering incremental alpha and managing operational risk. This is an opportunity to increase your trading operations experience and financial products and markets knowledge. This position requires balance between hands-on, tactical operational support and strategic initiative implementation. It offers an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals interested in asset management operations and eager to make an impact. Initially, you will undergo comprehensive training to fully understand our people, processes, and systems. This will include mastering fundamentals such as data gathering, leveraging AI, understanding trade lifecycle, conducting deep dives into fund-level data, ensuring data quality for accurate reporting and management information, and identifying and addressing exceptions. Gradually, you will begin to assist our Portfolio Management team in enhancing performance and managing operational risks. You will also support our Client Facing team in addressing clients’ operational queries and in designing and implementing process improvement projects. The candidate will learn to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations.

  • Solid time and priority management skills, including managing multiple initiatives effectively and prioritizing accordingly without losing track of the end goal.
  • Experience in new market onboarding experience; operational knowledge in foreign exchange and emerging markets desirable but not required.
  • Knowledge of financial products including but not limited to derivatives, structured fixed income, equities, and alternative investments.

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance. Salary Range: $ 75,000.00 - $ 81,000.00
