Job description

About PatientIQ
PatientIQ is a fast-growing health tech company on a mission to improve patient outcomes. We partner with healthcare providers, medical device companies, and researchers to collect, analyze, and act on patient-reported outcomes data at scale - powering smarter clinical decisions and accelerating the future of value-based care.
Headquartered in Chicago and backed by top-tier venture capital and major health system investors, PatientIQ is building the largest platform for healthcare providers, industry partners, and researchers to collaborate on what matters most: helping patients get better.
The opportunity
PatientIQ is hiring a Strategy & Operations Associate to help drive the company's highest-priority strategic initiatives and strengthen the operating foundation required for our next phase of growth.
Working directly with the Chief of Staff and executive leadership team, you'll help build and scale our Strategic Program Office (SPO) - a new function responsible for governing the company's portfolio of strategic initiatives while improving how we plan, communicate, and execute across the business.
This role is ideal for a highly analytical operator who thrives in ambiguity, brings structure to complex problems, and enjoys turning strategy into execution.
What you'll do
  • Own PatientIQ's portfolio of strategic initiatives-governing the company's highest-priority work from prioritization through execution, ensuring every initiative has clear ownership, measurable outcomes, and executive visibility.
  • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution, partnering across Product, Commercial, Customer Success, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to deliver measurable business results.
  • Help build and scale PatientIQ's Strategic Program Office (SPO) by establishing the governance, operating cadence, portfolio management, and accountability mechanisms that enable the company to execute at scale.
  • Partner with the Chief of Staff and executive leadership team on strategic planning, executive operating rhythms, organizational priorities, board and leadership communications, and other high-impact initiatives critical to the business.
  • Develop executive-ready analyses, recommendations, and communications that translate complex information into clear decisions, align stakeholders, and enable faster, higher-quality execution.
  • Define and measure business impact by establishing KPI frameworks, tracking strategic initiatives, surfacing risks early, and ensuring investments deliver measurable operational and commercial outcomes.
  • Champion AI-enabled ways of working by standardizing AI-powered workflows, automating manual processes, and embedding AI into how teams plan, communicate, analyze, and execute-creating meaningful leverage across the organization.
  • Drive accountability across the organization by clarifying ownership, facilitating decision-making, removing execution roadblocks, and maintaining momentum on the company's most important priorities.

What success looks like
We believe clarity drives performance. Here's what the first 90 days look like in this role:
30 days - Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders and functional leaders. Develop a deep understanding of PatientIQ's business, product, customers, strategic priorities, and operating cadence. Begin identifying opportunities to improve execution, communication, and operational efficiency. Become proficient with the company's AI tools and workflows.
60 days - Independently own one or more executive operating cadences. Lead a cross-functional strategic initiative with minimal oversight. Deliver executive-ready analyses and communications that enable faster decision-making. Begin establishing the SPO framework
90 days - Be recognized as a trusted partner to the Chief of Staff and executive team. Fully support the company's strategic initiative portfolio and executive reporting cadence. Launch the foundational components of the Strategic Program Office. Deliver measurable improvements in execution through AI-enabled workflows and standardized operating processes.
Requirements
What you bring
Required
  • 2-4 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or business operations at a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous questions, identify the most important issues, and develop clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing concise, executive-ready materials independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and drive accountability across teams without formal authority.
  • Strong business judgment-you understand when to analyze further, when to make a recommendation, and when to push an organization toward a decision.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives while maintaining a clear view of the broader business context.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve, information may be incomplete, and the path forward is not always defined.
  • High ownership mindset-you do not wait for perfect direction and are comfortable building structure, defining the work, and driving it to completion.
  • Strong aptitude for AI and modern productivity tools, with an interest in using technology to improve analysis, communication, and organizational efficiency.
  • Exposure to go-to-market strategy, revenue operations, product strategy, healthcare technology, or B2B SaaS is a strong differentiator.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Nice to have
  • Previous experience in a healthcare technology environment
