Description

WTW is seeking an experienced investment product management professional to support the development, launch, management, and enhancement of institutional and wealth management investment solutions across Collective Investment Trusts (CITs), mutual funds, ETFs, separately managed accounts (SMAs), and alternative investment structures.

The Director of Investment Product Management will partner closely with the Head of Product – North America to transform strategic business plans into executable product initiatives, coordinate cross-functional product development activities, manage ongoing product governance processes, and drive successful commercialization of new and existing investment solutions.

This role is ideal for a seasoned asset management product professional who combines deep investment vehicle expertise with strong project management, analytical, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Key Responsibilities Product Development & Execution
  • Lead day-to-day execution of product development initiatives from concept through launch.
  • Coordinate product launches across legal, compliance, operations, trading, marketing, distribution, finance, and external service providers.
  • Develop detailed product business cases, market assessments, and implementation plans.
  • Partner with investment teams to evaluate new product opportunities and enhancements.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of product roadmaps across institutional and wealth management channels.
  • Support product structure evaluation including CITs, mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, model portfolios, and alternative investment vehicles.
Product Strategy Support
  • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to identify industry trends, client demand, emerging vehicles, and competitive positioning opportunities.
  • Analyze distribution trends across retirement, OCIO, advisory, and wealth management channels.
  • Prepare strategic recommendations regarding product launches, consolidations, and enhancements.
  • Monitor product performance and provide recommendations for growth initiatives.
Governance & Regulatory Oversight
  • Support product governance committees and maintain governance documentation.
  • Coordinate product reviews and ongoing oversight activities.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance teams regarding regulatory requirements affecting investment products.
  • Assist in managing relationships with trustee banks, fund administrators, custodians, and other service providers.
  • Maintain product policies, operating procedures, and control frameworks.
Commercialization & Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with sales teams to translate client and market feedback into product enhancements.
  • Support client presentations, consultant meetings, and product due diligence discussions.
  • Prepare product positioning materials, competitive analyses, white papers, and executive presentations.
  • Coordinate responses to RFPs, consultant questionnaires, and product due diligence requests.
Product Analytics & Reporting
  • Develop and maintain product dashboards and KPI reporting.
  • Analyze product profitability, asset growth, flows, utilization, and client adoption metrics.
  • Support financial modeling and forecasting for new product initiatives.
  • Monitor market share and competitor product developments.
Qualifications Required Experience
  • 8-15 years of experience in investment product management, product development, product strategy, or related asset management functions.
  • Experience supporting or leading product launches within asset management, OCIO, wealth management, institutional consulting, or trust bank organizations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in institutional investment products
  • Strong understanding of investment operations, fund governance, and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across legal, compliance, operations, marketing, and distribution.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with trustee banks or CIT sponsors.
  • Exposure to wealth management distribution platforms, retirement channels, or OCIO solutions.
  • Experience with alternative investments, private markets, or multi-asset solutions.
  • Familiarity with ERISA, SEC, Investment Company Act of 1940, and banking regulatory requirements.
  • Experience conducting competitive analysis and product business case development.
Education & Credentials
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • CFA preferred.
  • MBA, CAIA, or other advanced credentials strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The salary compensation range being offered for this role is $150,000 to $250,000.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
