ENGINEERING MANAGER NEEDED - EATON RAPIDS, MICHIGAN AREA
A Leading Automotive Supplier in the Eaton Rapids, Michigan area needs an Engineering Manager. Die Casting Expertise is Required for this Position. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage engineering projects and budgets, and driving process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues, ensuring safety and compliance with standards, training staff, and analyzing data to identify improvement opportunities.
Team and project management: Lead, mentor, and train an engineering team on die casting best practices. Manage engineering projects, including budgets and timelines.
Design and development: Oversee the design and development of die casting dies and trim tooling.
Process optimization: Lead initiatives to improve processes, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.
Production support: Partner with production and quality teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and ensure quality standards are met.
Compliance and safety: Ensure all activities comply with company, industry, and safety standards.
Data analysis: Analyze production data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Supplier collaboration: Work with suppliers and vendors to source materials and equipment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, is Preferred or equivalent combination of Education & Experience.
Die Casting Technical Knowledge and Expertise is Strongly Preferred
Strong knowledge of Die Design, Metallurgy, and Process Optimization.
Leadership and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Familiarity with quality standards like APQP, FMEA, and ISO.
