Senior Associate/Associate Manager, Trade Operations
Location: Palm Beach Gardens, FL | Hybrid
About the Role
As an Entry-Level Associate, Trade Operations, you will support the day-to-day trade operations and post-trade functions for hedge fund clients through SS&C's partnership with Lighthouse Investment Partners, LLC (d/b/a Luminae Partners), an $18 billion AUM asset management firm. This role offers an excellent entry point into financial services with direct exposure to complex trading environments, multi-asset investment strategies, and institutional operations.
You will work closely with portfolio managers, traders, counterparties, prime brokers, and internal operational teams to help ensure accurate trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting across a broad range of financial products. This position is ideal for candidates interested in developing a long-term career within hedge fund operations, trade support, or asset management.
In this fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will gain hands-on experience with the full trade lifecycle while building strong analytical, operational, and client service skills.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Support daily trade operations activities for hedge fund clients across multiple investment strategies including Long/Short Equity, Global Macro, Credit, Fixed Income, Distressed, Emerging Markets, and Multi-Strategy funds
  • Monitor and process trade lifecycle events including trade capture, settlement, confirmation matching, and exception management
  • Reconcile cash, positions, market values, and trade activity across internal systems, custodians, and prime brokers
  • Research and resolve trade breaks, settlement discrepancies, and operational exceptions in a timely manner
  • Serve as a point of coordination between internal teams, counterparties, brokers, and fund administrators to ensure accurate and efficient trade processing
  • Provide operational support across a variety of financial instruments including equities, fixed income, FX, futures, swaps, options, repos, and other OTC products
  • Assist with wire processing, collateral movements, and payment confirmations related to settlements and financing activity
  • Prepare operational reporting and metrics related to trade volumes, reconciliation activity, and processing accuracy
  • Partner with internal SS&C GlobeOp teams including Fund Accounting, Investor Services, Technology, and Operations to support overall client servicing efforts
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, risk reduction, and scalability

Required Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Trade Operations
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
  • Internship or academic exposure to financial markets, operations, accounting, or investment management preferred
  • Foundational understanding of capital markets and financial products
