โ€ŠINVENTORY SUPERVISOR - 60,000 - 65,000 + Incentives
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and self-managed person to serve as the Inventory Supervisor in its Material Management Department.
For over 70 years, our client has pioneered the manufacturing of high-performance shrimp-peeling equipment, and more recently, steam cookers, blanchers, nut pasteurizers, roasters, and sorters. All of our products are designed to increase efficiency, improve product quality and yield for processors worldwide. Our client is one of four operating divisions and offers an unparalleled opportunity for those who want to work for an established yet growing company in the private sector.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and provide day-to-day leadership for the Inventory Team, including work execution, training oversight, and performance accountability.
Manage inventory and consumable resource requirements in direct support of production needs.
Oversee receiving, storage, accuracy, adjustment, and transactions history for inventory items.
Execute and support cycle count activities, troubleshooting discrepancies and escalating systemic issues as needed.
Oversee material transfers, returns, damaged goods, and overissued parts, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
Ensure proper storage methods and organization within inventory areas, supporting efficient and safe material flow.
Supervise and support inventory related troubleshooting, including receiving issues and production shortages.
Administer timekeeping and PTO request for the Inventory Team.
Conduct monthly performance checklists and complete mid-year and year-end employee evaluations in accordance with company policy.
Serve as the decision maker on the Inventory Team employee status, escalating recommendations to the Materials Management Supervisor as required.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory process
Run required safety training for the Inventory Team.
Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
B.S. degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a minimum of 5 years' experience in inventory management/control in a manufacturing/production environment.
Previous supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
Strong understanding of the operational demands associated with supporting production through inventory control.
Ability to operate lift equipment, including forklifts, as needed.
Oracle/MAPICS/Other MRP system experience a plus.
Ability to lift 50 pounds, as needed.
Able to work outside of regular shift hours (nights, weekend, holidays) as needed.
Valid driver's license
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience as an inventory clerk, parts crib attendant, or similar work experience.
Experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment preferred.
Familiarity with cycle counting programs, consumables management, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
Qualified forklift certification.
