Job description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Supports operations by leading and owning the process of maintaining proper inventory counts and product codes to ensure compliance with established internal control procedures. Directs and consolidates inventory for maximum storage and utilization of space. The role reports directly to the Customer Service Manager.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain coordination of Cycle counts and verify customer-supplied products.

• Responsible for handling OS&D reporting and communications with customers.

• Accurately file reports stating which items in a shipment were over-shipped, under-shipped, and damaged upon receipt.

• Process necessary inventory adjustments.

• Manage inventory by counting products and comparing the inventory-to-inventory logs and documents.

• Assist with customer inventory audits.

• Communicate with customers about inventory levels on a daily basis.

• Assist in managing the holding of inventory (releases and application of codes).

• Review orders and receiving documents and ensure accuracy and proper documentation.

• Research inventory discrepancies.

• Monitor and submit daily receiving log and all daily inventory control paperwork.

• Monitor, report, and reconcile any receiving discrepancies or damaged shipments.

• Monitor sanitation and housekeeping in the work areas.

• Meet team quality and production goals.

• Assist the supervisor in developing procedures and implementing new procedures.

• Ensure all team tasks are completed by the end of the shift.

• Complete miscellaneous projects as needed.

• Adhere to Company safety policies and procedures.

• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Experience in warehouse operations preferred.

• Prior inventory experience preferred.

• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Resourceful, well-organized, and dependable.

• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate initiative.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to make decisions logically and independently.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with export requirements and documents.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage a broad range of activities.

• Must have or meet the eligibility requirements to obtain a TWIC card.

• Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

• Must have the ability to work overtime during the week and on weekends.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Ability to regularly stand, walk long distances, and talk and hear.

• Ability to frequently use hands and arms to grab, handle, feel, and reach.

• Ability to occasionally sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawl.
