Job description

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, controls, and processes within the warehouse. This role ensures inventory integrity across receiving, storage, picking, and shipping operations while leading cycle counts, audits, and inventory-related process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily inventory control activities across the warehouse
  • Maintain high inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and audits
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and root causes
  • Coordinate inventory movement, slotting, and space optimization
  • Work closely with Operations, Receiving, and Fulfillment teams to ensure inventory alignment
  • Train and oversee inventory associates and/or inventory control team members
  • Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the WMS
  • Support physical inventories and customer audits as needed
  • Develop and improve inventory procedures, controls, and reporting
  • Monitor KPIs related to inventory accuracy, shrink, and adjustments
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of inventory control or warehouse supervision experience (3PL experience preferred)
  • Advanced Excel or inventory reporting experience - Basic knowledge (data entry, simple formatting) is not sufficient for this role
  • Strong understanding of inventory management best practices
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate team members
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting multiple clients or SKUs in a 3PL environment
  • Advanced Excel or inventory reporting experience
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods
