Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generates and manages the master schedule.
  • Leads ERP training and implementation of modules within the planning team.
  • Work closely with Sales to analyze the forecast and impacts to capacity.
  • Develop and implement an inventory stock strategy balancing service levels and cash.
  • Present data and issues clearly to all levels of the organization.
  • Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
  • Maintains master distribution schedule for the organization; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
  • Works independently under minimal supervision and be a self-starter.
  • Lead and assist in special projects.
  • Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
  • Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • BS in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or other related field.
  • Prefer 5 at least years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and working with an MRP/ERP system.
  • Understand purchasing, MRP, continuous improvement methodology, inventory control
  • Understands inventory and lost control.
  • Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including Office (Word & Excel).
  • APIC’s certification preferred.

  • This is not a supervisory position.
