Position

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and knowledgeable Inventory Specialist to support our branches in maintaining accurate inventory, improving warehouse efficiency, and ensuring alignment between operations and accounting. This role requires advanced understanding of ERP and WMS systems, the ability to proactively identify and resolve inventory issues, and some HVACR industry knowledge is preferred. Travel to all of our store locations is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize and fully understand our ERP system (DDI) to manage and maintain inventory records.
  • Apply HVACR industry knowledge to accurately identify, verify, and categorize inventory items.
  • Use WMS scan gun technology with proficiency to conduct counts, adjustments, and verifications.
  • Navigate and interpret data within our JEN platform, including Order Status and Account Summary functions.
  • Follow all warehouse receiving policies and procedures to ensure inbound accuracy.
  • Recognize and interpret manufacturer nomenclature across a wide variety of HVACR products.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with components of HVAC equipment to support correct identification and validation.
  • Investigate and resolve root causes of on-hand inventory discrepancies.
  • Review, understand, and act on variance reports and bin discrepancy reporting.
  • Lead and execute full physical inventories for entire branch locations.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure alignment between front-end receiving and back-end reconciliations.
  • Configure and work with wireless printers to label all products during cycle counts and physical counts.
  • Maintain high attention to detail to ensure product labels match manufacturer numbers and actual items.
  • Manage and process buybacks and returns according to company and vendor guidelines.
  • Utilize manufacturer websites and tools (e.g., Neuco, PartnerLink, Navigator) for product lookup and verification.
  • Maintain flexible availability and travel to all store locations as needed.
  • Work with vendors to acquire additional racking or storage solutions when required.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize warehouse layout and improve operational efficiency.
  • Partner with operations management to address and resolve discrepancies found during counts or audits.
  • Consistently uphold and model the Core Values of the Company in all daily activities.

Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems (DDI preferred).
  • Strong HVACR industry familiarity, especially in inventory and product identification.
  • Warehouse experience with scan guns, printers, and WMS tools.
  • Ability to conduct branch-wide physical inventories with accuracy and leadership.
  • Strong communication skills for working with accounting, operations, vendors, and management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to trace and resolve inventory issues.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to travel to multiple branches.
