Hours: Monday-Friday 9a-5pCST
Location: Onsite in our Morton Grove location
Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to join our operations team. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of pharmaceutical inventory, from receiving and reconciliation to formulary maintenance and purchasing strategy. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and passionate about optimizing inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Receiving & Stocking
  • Receive and submit all vendor orders in SureCost.
  • Stock medications on primary shelves using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) logic.
  • Replenish primary shelves from overstock areas to ensure accuracy and availability.
  • Match received items with previous day's shortages and notify fulfillment technicians.

Inventory Reconciliation & Maintenance
  • Reconcile upload failures by identifying correct NDCs or updating the Framework formulary.
  • Evaluate inventory for expired or short-dated medications and follow pharmacy expiration policy.
  • Rotate inventory based on expiration dates and maintain organized shelving.
  • File invoices by date, verifying required signatures and documentation.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies for items not received on previous invoices.

Formulary & Software Management
  • Maintain and manage the pharmacy formulary, including activating and deactivating medications.
  • Analyze and adjust discrepancies using the Negative On-Hand Report in SureCost and Framework.
  • Process monthly NDC changes and formulary updates for cycle fill.

Purchasing & Strategic Sourcing
  • Generate daily purchase orders in SureCost, optimizing for Generic Compliance Ratio (GCR) and secondary market opportunities in consultation with the Director of Purchasing.
  • Research backordered or out-of-stock items and identify in-stock alternatives or suitable vendors.
  • Order pharmacy supplies as needed.

Inventory Optimization
  • Return excess or dead stock to primary wholesalers in accordance with return policies.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and reconciliation of bi-annual physical inventories alongside the Pharmacist-in-Charge.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of pharmacy, healthcare, or inventory experience required.
  • Familiarity with SureCost, Framework, or similar pharmacy software systems preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing and inventory decisions.
  • IL Pharmacy Technician license required.
