Operations Manager

 

Position Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day execution of field operations, technician scheduling, inventory management, and service delivery. This individual ensures operational activities are executed efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service, organization, and accountability.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can effectively prioritize competing demands, and enjoys improving operational processes.

Essential Responsibilities

 

Operations Management

  • Manage daily field operations and technician schedules.
  • Dispatch and coordinate service requests based on priority, location, and technician availability.
  • Monitor daily workload and adjust schedules as priorities change.
  • Ensure service requests are completed accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate emergency service calls and schedule changes.
  • Review operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory across multiple warehouse locations.
  • Oversee inventory replenishment and equipment availability.
  • Manage equipment assigned to field personnel.
  • Coordinate inventory transfers between warehouses and technicians.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Support inventory audits and cycle counts.

Team Coordination

  • Serve as the primary operational resource for field personnel.
  • Provide guidance and support throughout the workday.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless service execution.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new field personnel.
  • Promote accountability and adherence to operational procedures.

Administrative & Reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, field service, dispatch, or service management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
