We currently have an immediate opportunity for an Inventory Operations & Customer Service Specialist to join the BAR DIVISION at our ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA location. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Inventory Operations & Customer Service Specialist is a hybrid role that provides key support to the Customer Service and Inventory Recovery teams.
The position works cross-functionally with Purchasing, Quality, Finance, R&D and warehouse to support business operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Master Data
Key Responsibilities: Maintain the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of Nellson's master data across systems.
• Set up new part numbers (raw materials, sub-assemblies, and finished goods)
• Update existing part number profiles (descriptions, pallet patterns, MOQ, lead times, allergen and claim information, pricing corrections, etc.)
• Create and update Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Maintain Item Setup Tracker and BOM Setup Tracker updated.
• Manage item obsolescence (identify and obsolete any sub-assemblies, part numbers or finished goods skus.
• Create data reports as needed.
Customer Service
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact between Nellson & assigned customers. Responsible for managing customers' accounts by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Acts as the primary point of contact for the customer and as a liaison between the customer and internal teams. Process and communicate customer instructions and requests to internal teams.
• Process and updates customer orders.
• Manages the entire customer order life cycle from creation to scheduling, production and shipping. This includes performing a wide variety of tasks and collaborating cross functionally to ensure customer orders are produced and shipped on time.
• Supports miscellaneous order processing for billing (transfers, credits, debits, etc.)
• Maintain
• Support new product innovation for customer launches or extension to current customer portfolio.
• Maintain accurate record keeping.
As necessary, performs other related functions.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions while having a solution driven, problem solving attitude.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. Must be able to know how to prioritize and be flexible to change priorities on assigned tasks.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as collaborate in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic mathematical skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate's degree in business or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years' experience with data management /inventory control/ supply chain operations, or warehouse management preferably in manufacturing environment.
  • 1-2 years' experience in customer service. Familiarity with order management software.
