Job description

Logistics Insight Corporation (LINC), a subsidiary of Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc., is a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider offering customized supply chain solutions across North America. Through experienced leadership, proven operational processes, and advanced technology, LINC delivers warehousing, transportation, inventory management, sequencing, and value-added logistics services for some of the world's largest manufacturers.


This position is based in Lake Orion, Michigan, supporting General Motors operations. The facility provides warehouse services including pick and pack, sequencing, inventory management, and material flow support for critical production operations.


Shifts Available

2nd shift: Monday - Friday / 2:00pm - 11:00pm


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, sequencing, pick-and-pack, and material flow support for General Motors production operations.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop supervisors and hourly team members while ensuring adequate staffing and operational performance.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and safety metrics to ensure customer and company expectations are achieved.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service support.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving efforts, and process enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, customer requirements, and all operational procedures while preparing and reviewing key performance reports.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 2-5 years of leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or 3PL environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and team development skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory systems, and general computer applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
