Position Summary
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing all East Plant inventory processes, ensuring accurate inventory records, timely reconciliations, and efficient material tracking across products, packaging, chemicals, and ingredients. This role partners with operations, accounting, and global business services to analyze inventory performance, maintain material balances, optimize production scheduling, and leverage digital tools to improve visibility and decision-making. The position drives process accountability, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement while upholding ADM's safety standards and core values.
Job Responsibilities
Own and manage the East Plant inventory process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Systematize and streamline activities to reduce manual effort.
Perform physical-to-book reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing products.
Prepare inventory control reports and collaborate with accounting and global business services.
Utilize PI and other visual digital data tools to streamline information flow and provide actionable insights.
Promote inventory process accountability through coaching and follow-up.
Own all packaging supplies inventory management and vendor contact.
Production schedule planning and adherence.
Understand material mass balance and expected yields for all areas of the plant.
Own all chemical & ingredient inventory management processes.
Ensure compliance with ADM safety standards and core values in all activities.
