Position Summary
Taher is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to support inventory accuracy and operational excellence at our third-party logistics (3PL) partner facility. This position serves as the primary point of contact for inventory-related activities, ensuring that inbound and outbound shipments are accurately tracked, inventory records remain current, and ERP system information is maintained with a high degree of accuracy.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working independently, and possesses strong analytical skills. This role requires daily interaction with logistics partners and the ability to follow established processes while developing efficient routines to ensure inventory integrity.
Essential Responsibilities
Inventory Management
  • Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within company systems.
  • Ensure inventory balances accurately reflect physical stock levels.

Shipping & Receiving Verification
  • Track and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders and receiving documentation.
  • Monitor outbound shipments to ensure accurate fulfillment and documentation.
  • Reconcile shipment records with inventory transactions.
  • Identify and communicate any exceptions or discrepancies.

ERP System Maintenance
  • Enter and maintain inventory data within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Review inventory transactions for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist with inventory reporting and data analysis.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to inventory processes.

Partner Relationship Management
  • Maintain daily communication with third-party logistics partners.
  • Coordinate inventory-related inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Build positive working relationships with warehouse personnel and key contacts.
  • Facilitate effective communication through email, phone, and in-person interactions.

Reporting & Analysis
  • Generate inventory reports and analyze trends.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Assist the Supply Chain Project Manager with inventory projects and data requests.
  • Provide recommendations based on inventory data and operational findings.
