Job Summary:
This position is an advanced role responsible for overseeing and improving inventory accuracy through cycle counting processes in a La-Z-Boy manufacturing setting. This position leads cycle count initiatives, analyzes data, and implements strategies to enhance inventory management.
Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):
  • Ability to perform all duties of Inventory Cycle Counter I.
  • Lead and coordinate cycle count activities across multiple product lines.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce discrepancies.
  • Make inventory adjustments as needed, following company policy.
  • Train and mentor cycle counters on best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory processes.
  • Generate and present inventory reports to management.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace in line with 5S standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory processes

SCOPE & IMPACT:
This position not only performs physical inventory counts but also leads and coordinates these activities across multiple product lines. The contributions of this position significantly enhance inventory processes, reduce errors, and improve overall operational efficiency, directly impacting the company's ability to meet production goals and optimize resources.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field or equivalent experience in the field
  • 1-3 years of experience in inventory management or related field
  • Advanced proficiency in inventory management systems and data analysis tools
  • Advanced knowledge ERP systems (E1)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a team as well as independently
  • Must hold or be able to obtain within 30 days PIV License -Tow Motor/Fork Truck, Turret truck (LZB PIV license requires drug test, vision screen, and written test for certification every 2 years)

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
  • Certification in inventory management (e.g., APICS, CPIM, CSCP)
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Project management experience
  • PIV certification
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, varying temperatures, and moderate noise levels
  • May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, and hearing protection
