Accounting and Finance Manager
Company Overview

We are an innovative medical device company dedicated to developing and delivering life-changing technologies. We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to oversee our core accounting operations, ensure financial integrity, and support our continued commercial growth. 
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations & Month-End Close

  • Lead the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and payroll functions.
  • Review general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.


Cost Accounting & Inventory Management

  • Manage standard cost accounting, including the valuation of raw materials, Work-In-Progress (WIP), and finished goods.
  • Monitor inventory obsolescence, cycle counts, and scrap rates, aligning financial data with production realities.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances (e.g., Purchase Price Variance, Labor/Overhead Absorption) and provide strategic insights. 


Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure strict compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting, particularly relating to supply chain and inventory cycles.
  • Assist with preparing for annual audits and act as the primary liaison with external tax and accounting firms. 


Financial Reporting & System Optimization

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reports.
  • Participate in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives in coordination with FP&A.
  • Evaluate and optimize current ERP systems and accounting procedures to increase departmental efficiency. 


Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field. 
  • Certification: Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred. 
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. 
  • Industry Background: Demonstrated experience working in the medical device, life sciences, or complex manufacturing sectors is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using enterprise-level ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical problem-solving capabilities and the ability to clearly communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
