The Opportunity:
Join our Operations Finance team as a Finance Manager and play a pivotal role in driving the financial performance and integrity of our North American manufacturing and distribution network. In this hands-on position, you'll serve as the key finance partner for inventory accounting, cost management, and financial controllership, collaborating closely with Operations, General Accounting, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards. Beyond maintaining excellence, you'll have the opportunity to influence process improvements, uncover efficiencies, and deliver insights that help shape smarter business decisions across the organization.
This is a hybrid position based in our Doraville, GA office. Team members typically work onsite 2-3 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday).
What You'll Do:
INVENTORY AND ASSET STEWARDSHIP
  • Provide day-to-day financial ownership of inventory across manufacturing plants, third-party logistics providers, and consignment locations.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy, support physical inventory processes, manage excess and obsolete exposure, and help drive consistent inventory controls across the network.

FINANCIAL CONTROLS AND ACCOUNTING EXECUTION
  • Prepare and review inventory-related journal entries, accruals, and reserves (including excess & obsolete, warranty, returns, and vendor rebates).
  • Perform account reconciliations, support month-end close activities, and partner with General Accounting on inventory valuation, revaluation, and balance sheet integrity.

COST ACCOUNTING AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
  • Lead the annual standard cost recost process and perform ongoing reviews of actual versus standard costs.
  • Support sourcing and vendor rebate programs, cost analysis, and part status changes, ensuring cost data is accurate, timely, and well understood by business partners.

REPORTING, ANALYSIS, AND COMPLIANCE
  • Prepare inventory roll forwards, summaries, and variance analyses that clearly explain drivers and business impact.
  • Support balance sheet reviews, complexity-reduction initiatives, revenue recognition requirements (ASC 606), and internal and external audit requests, including ABL field exams.

FORECASTING & SG&A MANAGEMENT
  • Support weekly, quarterly, and annual forecasts with a focus on inventory, cost, and Operations SG&A.
  • Partner with Operations Finance and cost center owners to track spending, manage headcount and personnel costs, review T&E and vendor expenses, and provide visibility into forecast versus actual performance.

What You'll Bring:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in cost accounting or inventory accounting, in a manufacturing or operations environment
  • Advance Exel, Power BI and ERP system experience required. Inventory management modules highly desired.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP; familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities. A self-starter and curious learner!

Preferred:
  • CPA or CMA certification(s)
  • Experience with reconciliation tools such as BlackLine
  • Exposure to Internal controls, audit support, and compliance activities

Your Work Environment:
Minimal travel to plants ( 10-15%)
Hybrid work schedule in office Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
