Overview

Verathon is seeking an experienced Manager, FP&A to join our team in Bothell, WA. In this role, you will serve as a strategic finance partner to the Airway business unit, collaborating directly with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to drive business performance. You will lead a team of Financial Analysts and take ownership of financial planning, reporting, and forecasting processes while ensuring rigorous financial controls are maintained.This position requires advanced financial expertise, sound business judgment, and a demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. The Manager of Finance will exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches, with decisions that have a meaningful and extended impact on business processes and outcomes.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership ย  ย Lead and develop a team of Financial Analysts, setting clear expectations, empowering problem-solving, and fostering a high-performance culture. ย  ย Provide hands-on guidance and support to analysts, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality work.Strategic Partnership ย  ย Partner directly with executive staff, key business leaders, and their teams to drive strategic objectives and support sound decision-making. ย  ย Develop a deep understanding of the medical device industry and Verathon's strategic priorities to provide relevant, forward-looking financial counsel. ย  ย Model business opportunities and deliver well-reasoned recommendations and solutions grounded in rigorous analysis. ย  ย Act as a trusted liaison between the Airway business unit and the Controller's team. ย  ย Provide insight generation rather than reactive reporting; shift from information provider to decision influencer.Financial Planning & Analysis ย  ย Provide in-depth analysis of global trends and operating performance to support business strategy. ย  ย Direct the annual operating plan process in collaboration with global leadership, ensuring alignment of revenue assumptions and outputs with business unit finance leaders. ย  ย Lead forecasting processes, incorporating the latest business updates from global leaders into financial models. ย  ย Ensure financial results are reported accurately and communicated clearly to relevant stakeholders. ย  ย Meet regularly with business leads to support their understanding of financial results, issues, and opportunities.Controls & Inventory Oversight ย  ย Establish and maintain financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliant operations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience ย  ย Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required; MBA, CMA, or CPA designation preferred. ย  ย 8+ years of progressive Finance and Accounting experience, demonstrating increasing responsibility and leadership over time. ย  ย Experience leading a team to achieve business goals and drive measurable results.Technical Skills ย  ย Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and complex data analysis. ย  ย Deep familiarity with financial reporting systems; demonstrated ability to leverage these tools to generate actionable business insights. ย  ย Advanced proficiency in multi-dimensional databases and business intelligence tools, such as Power BI.ย  ย  Experience with AI tools, such as Claude and ChatGPT, and demonstrated ability to use these tools to improve financial analysis and reporting. ย  ย Solid knowledge of relevant US GAAP accounting principles and their practical application.Leadership & Interpersonal Skills ย  ย Proven ability to build strong, trusted relationships with executive leaders and cross-functional teams across an international organization. ย  ย Demonstrated track record of excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, including macroeconomic analysis and financial modeling. ย  ย Exceptional communication and advisory skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and accessible manner. ย  ย Ability to educate and influence non-financial managers on financial concepts and implications. ย  ย Self-starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to positively influence others. ย  ย Strong organizational skills with a consistent ability to deliver accurate, on-time results. ย  ย Sound judgment in applying financial analysis to business planning and commercial decisions.

Salary range - $126,487.00 - $160,025.00 (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range).ย 

Full-time employees who are not on a commission plan are eligible for Verathon's annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
