JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL FUNCTION
The Materials Handler 1 performs Cycle Counts and adjustments to monitor and maintain an accurate statement of on-hand inventory and provides accuracy of Distribution Center processes by conducting audits of processes and associates within all phases of Distribution as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Audits areas and processes as required determining associate and process accuracy.
  • Verifies outbound shipment accuracy to stores, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers.
  • Performs cycle counts including initial counts, recounts, and researches discrepancies.
  • Performs Inventory adjustments and write-offs as required.
  • Responsible for any additional duties assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6+ months experience in a distribution center environment
  • Detail Oriented
  • Flexible and able to multi-task
  • Strong communication skills
  • Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by Supervisors/Manager
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a stand/walk position for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with AS400 and SAP
