Job description

Inventory Control Clerk 

Hours: M-F: 7am - 3:30pm

Compensation: $21 - $31.00/hr

 

The position of Inventory Control is responsible for maintaining the overall accuracy of the warehouse inventories.  This includes checking inventory requirements to guarantee that there are no material shortages resulting from inaccurate inventories.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Controls inventory levels by reconciling with the SAP WMS and conducting physical counts when necessary.
  • Coordinates with Production Planning to ensure accurate distribution of necessary materials for scheduled production.
  • Coordinates with Quality Assurance to manage received and inventoried raw materials in accordance to manage received and inventoried raw materials in accordance with policies and handling procedures.
  • Performs daily reconciliations after order confirmations have been completed.
  • Oversees the handling of daily cycle counting program and performs required inventory adjustments.  Establishes the list of materials to be cycle-counted.
  • Responsible for Kosher certifications.
  • Member of the Recall Team. Performs mock recalls on a regular basis.
  • Serves as a back-up for the Raw Material and Receiving Manager.

Skills & Specifications

  • 3+ years experience required in inventory control.
  • Computer skills required:  Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Requires good organizational skills.
  • Requires good phone and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be dependable, organized and able to resolve conflict.
  • Working knowledge of the Inventory Tracking System.
