Location: Seattle, WA - onsite

Duration: 12 months + potential to extend

Pay Range: $25-30/hr (W2)

Job Description

We are seeking a Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in material movement, inventory control, and ERP-driven receiving and a proven ability to support laboratory operations through accurate, timely receipt, storage, and delivery of materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve and deliver products with accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support lab staff with material needs and inquiries, acting as a service partner to multiple departments.
  • Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counts, stocking, scrapping, and lot control.
  • Manage expiry, allocation, and storage requirements for materials, including time and temperature sensitive items.
  • Serve as escort and assist delivery personnel with unloading and loading of materials.
  • Receive deliveries, verify shipment accuracy, transact receipts in ERP (SAP), and put away to assigned locations.
  • Collect packing slips and complete electronic receiving after verification of proper delivery.
  • Work cohesively within a team-based, cross-functional environment to complete warehousing tasks.
  • Maintain a neat and organized warehouse and uphold safety and compliance standards.
  • Build effective relationships with researchers and stakeholders to fulfill Raw Material Requests.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED with 1 to 3 years of material handling experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with inventory systems and ERP systems; SAP or SAP EWM preferred.
  • Customer service orientation with basic communication and escalation skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Ability to adapt to change, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure.

Work Schedule & Conditions

  • 100% Onsite.
  • Typical hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with 1-hour lunch, or 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, lift and carry up to 45 pounds, and stand at least 50% of the time.

Compensation Notice

The starting hourly compensation for this assignment is within the range of $16.36 to $20.78 per hour. The final individual compensation and any applicable benefits will be determined by your employer of record. Factors include demonstrated experience, required skills, and the geographic location of the job. Compensation details are subject to change.
