Scope of Job: The Production Control Clerk is responsible for performing clerical tasks that support production control and ensure the efficient flow of materials required by production schedules. Monitors the inventory of parts, components, and raw materials and coordinates ordering, invoicing, and scheduling with vendors. Tracks status of customer orders and production schedules to identify issues or delays and coordinates with stakeholders to expedite orders and resolve problems. Inputs and maintains production data in ERP, MRP, or other databases. 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all company policies regarding hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE), jewellery restrictions, and dress code requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of emergency procedures, including exit locations, evacuation routes, and shelter-in-place protocols.
  • Follow all food safety and workplace safety guidelines.
  • Verify daily production schedules and accurately complete required Excel tracking sheets.
  • Monitor production activities and update records promptly to ensure alignment with schedule changes.
  • Follow proper procedures for documenting and communicating any production schedule adjustments.
  • Accurately enter pallet counts and ensure all data is correctly recorded in Oracle or other tracking systems.
  • Retrieve and validate pallet counts and input the information in the appropriate systems or spreadsheets.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records in Excel tracking tools (e.g., KY Blue sheets).
  • Determine when pallet tags are required and ensure timely creation.
  • Create pallet tags accurately and verify all required information is complete and correct.
  • Follow contingency procedures for creating pallet tags in the event of system (Oracle) downtime.
  • Record and track all product defects using the Defect Tracker Sheet.
  • Ensure all defect-related data is entered correctly and reported as required.
  • Count and verify partial retorts, ensuring accuracy in the retort log.
  • Identify and document which partial retorts must be recorded in Excel reports.
  • Notify appropriate personnel when discrepancies in counts occur.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.

Experience: 2-4 years of Manufacturing/Production Operations administration and support experience required.
