Inventory Control Specialist - Housekeeping

SUMMARY

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing the inventory for the entire housekeeping department, ensuring all supplies, equipment, and materials are properly tracked, maintained, and available to support daily operations.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

All employees must be knowledgeable of all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Three (3) months of related experience in a hotel or casino environment and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to troubleshoot and repair vacuum equipment

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess and maintain all applicable regional Gaming card(s) and/or license(s), if required
Biohazard training preferred
OSHA 10-hour certification preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing

Inventory all cleaning, operating, and guest supplies for the housekeeping department
Oversee cleanliness and organization of chemical storage, dry storage, and vacuum rooms
Perform vacuum repairs and maintenance as needed
Maintain and manage all vendor relationships and communications
Conduct monthly price checks on all products to ensure cost efficiency
Advise management on cost saving products, alternatives, or operational procedures
Test and evaluate all new products and equipment prior to implementation
Ensure compliance with all OSHA requirements, including maintaining MSDS sheets and proper labeling
Adhere to all Housekeeping procedures, policies, and operational standards
Perform other related duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Will supervise team members who interact with chemicals, cleaning supplies, and vacuum equipment.
